Module 003
Set your cleats, free and without limits
It is FramIQ's free module, and it is not a trial version. It calculates your rotation, your fore-aft and your Q-Factor from your morphology, and tells you which shims you need if your two sides are not symmetrical.

What it does
The three parameters, calculated on you
The cleat is the anchor point of the whole chain. An error here is paid for at the knee.
Rotation
0° to +5°Your foot's opening angle, your Fick angle. Forcing a foot to 0° when it naturally sits at +5° means a knee twist on every pedal stroke.
Fore-aft position
The pedal axle under the head of the first metatarsal, with 1 to 3 mm of setback recommended for long distance.
Q-Factor
The width between your feet, to match your pelvis width. Too wide, the knee drifts into valgus.
Left/right asymmetry
60 to 70% of cyclistsDetected then corrected with shims, thickness spacers placed under the cleat on the short side.
What you get
Values to transfer onto the sole
Settings per foot
Rotation and fore-aft, left side and right side separately, because your two feet are not identical.
Shims and pedal axle
The shim thickness to add if the asymmetry justifies it, and the recommended pedal axle length, from 51 to 58 mm.
All systems
Look Keo, Shimano SPD-SL, Wahoo Speedplay, Shimano SPD, Crankbrothers and Time ATAC. The adjustment landmarks change, the logic does not.
No limit
As many calculations as you want, on as many pairs of shoes as you want, without paying anything.
The process
How to use it
Your cleat system
The module adapts its landmarks to Look, SPD-SL, Speedplay, SPD, Crankbrothers or Time ATAC.
Your foot measurements
Length, width, natural angle, plus any knee history.
The values to apply
Rotation and fore-aft per foot, Q-Factor, asymmetry correction if needed.
The check after a few rides
You look at cleat wear: asymmetric wear is a signal, not a detail.
If knee pain persists despite a careful setup, it is no longer a cleat problem. A stiff ankle or an asymmetric pelvis throws off the whole setting, and that is treated in a clinical assessment.

The cleat module costs nothing — start there
Rotation, fore-aft, Q-Factor, asymmetry. Free, unlimited, no paid account — and it is often what fixes the knee pain.
